Pangasinan mayor’s house burglarized

MANILA, Philippines - A burglary at the house of a Pangasinan mayor in Quezon City was discovered Monday night, police said yesterday.

Tayug Mayor Tyrone Agabas’ caretaker, who was about to clean the house in GSIS Village, Barangay Bahay Toro at around 9 p.m., found that the lock of the door had been destroyed and that appliances and a laptop computer were missing.

Superintendent Michael Macapagal, commander of the Quezon City Police District-Station 3, said the mayor and his lawmaker wife last visited the house in September. Even the caretaker would only go there every three months to clean it up.

Macapagal said the burglars had gained entry through the back door leading to the kitchen.
