‘Flash mob’ serenades MRT passengers

Janvic Mateo - The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - A “flash mob” composed of more than a dozen children aged 10 to 16 surprised commuters by singing Christmas carols at the Metro Rail Transit (MRT) Cubao station in Quezon City yesterday.

The activity was part of the holiday campaign of flavored drink Tang, said assistant brand manager and Christmas project head Lawrence Lorico.

Lorico said they decided to hold the activity at the MRT “to make their journey more special.”

They also distributed 1,000 free MRT tickets to the passengers. Lorico said activities for commuters would be held at other MRT stations this holiday season.
