Mike Frialde - The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - A 65-year-old woman was found dead in her house in Barangay Cembo, Makati on Tuesday night.

Lydia Blasa was discovered lying on the floor after her house was forced open by police officers and barangay watchmen at 8:30 p.m., said Chief Inspector Eycon Garduque of the Makati Police Criminal Investigation Division.

Garduque said Blasa was a retired employee of the Government Service Insurance System. Police ruled out foul play in her death.

“All her valuables were intact and there were no signs of forcible entry into her house,” police said. Found beside Blasa were drugs for hypertension and diabetes.
