Soldier shot dead in QC

MANILA, Philippines - A military sergeant was shot dead by motorcycle-riding men in Cubao, Quezon City Monday night.

Staff Sergeant Ernesto Clemente Jr. sustained a gunshot wound in the neck and died on the spot following the attack at the corner of New York street and E. Rodriguez Boulevard at around 8 p.m., Police Officer 3 Jaime de Jesus said.

Witnesses said the victim had just parked his motorcycle when two unidentified men on a motorcycle rode past and one of them shot him.
