Welder arrested for rape in Navotas

MANILA, Philippines - A 46-year-old welder was arrested for allegedly raping a woman in Navotas City Saturday morning.

The 27-year-old woman told police that she was sleeping in her house when Reynaldo Carpio raped her. She said she fought Carpio, who was caught by barangay watchmen when he tried to flee. Carpio refused to talk to police officers during the investigation.
