Woman shot in Valenzuela

MANILA, Philippines - An 18-year-old woman was reported to be in critical condition at the Valenzuela General Hospital after she was shot in the head Wednesday afternoon.

Cherryl Dacillo was talking to Cedrick Martin, 18, along Pangkera street in Coloong 1, Valenzuela when Martin allegedly drew a gun and shot her, hitting her in the forehead, according to a police report.

Martin threw the gun on the street and escaped. Investigators are still trying to determine the motive for the shooting.
