Boy, 10, shot by uncle, 15

MANILA, Philippines - A 10-year-old boy was injured after he was accidentally shot by his 15-year-old uncle inside their home in Payatas, Quezon City Tuesday night.

The victim was hit in the cheek and taken to the East Avenue Medical Center for treatment, said SPO1 Malruz Claros.

His uncle was turned over to the Department Social Welfare and Development following the incident.

Police said the teenager was playing with his pen gun at around 7: 30 p.m. when it went off, hitting the victim.

The pen gun was loaded with a 9mm caliber bullet, police said.
