Woman found dead in rented room

MANILA, Philippines - A 29-year-old woman was found dead, her skull bashed in, in a room being rented by a man in Malaria, Caloocan City Friday morning.

The body of Lorilyn Obiago, identified through her barangay identification card, was found by the owner of an apartment in Barangay 185 before 6 a.m., said Senior Inspector Amor Cerillo.

Cerillo said apartment owner Rocky Lada checked the room after his tenant, whom he identified only as Rolly, told him Thursday he was about to leave.

A bloodstained hammer was also found in the room, Cerillo said.

The tenant has yet to be arrested, Cerillo said.
