Non Alquitran - The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - A Canadian lost P343,000 in cash and valuables to his housemaid in Pasig City.

Rajiv Nundy, 58, a compensation and benefits specialist at the Asian Development Bank, reported the burglary yesterday to the police.

He identified the suspect as Gemma Atzuela, 32.

Nundy told PO3 Eduardo Pablo that he left for a vacation in Canada last month.

While he was away, his other housemaids informed him that Atzuela’s husband visited her frequently at Nundy’s house on Dragon Fly street, Valle Verde 6, in Barangay Ugong.

When the Canadian returned home on Sept. 8, he found out that his diamond bracelet worth P220,000; a gold pendant worth P79,000; a gold bracelet amounting to P30,000; a wristwatch worth P30,000, and $300 were missing.

Nundy went to Atzuela’s home in Barangay Plainview, Mandaluyong City, but she was nowhere to be found.
