MANILA, Philippines - A 65-year-old Taguig City barangay watchman was arrested by his colleagues after he allegedly hacked his children with a bolo Saturday night.
Tanod Samuel Cantupay reportedly went home drunk to his family’s shanty in Lower Bicutan and found there was no food. He reportedly started beating his children – aged 12, 10 and eight – with a belt and proceeded to attack them with a bolo.
Fellow watchmen who arrested Cantupay turned him over to the city police while social workers took custody of his three children, whose mother works in Taiwan.
