Ramil Bajo, Rey Galupo - The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - A body of a man, stuffed into a black garbage bag secured with packaging tape, was found in an excavation along Commonwealth Avenue in Barangay UP Campus, Quezon City yesterday morning.

The victim was naked, had strangulation marks on his neck and stab wounds in his chest, according to Police Officer 2 Rhic Roldan Pittong.

Pittong said the victim was estimated to be between 40 and 45 years old, around 5’3” tall, and had tattoos – a Sputnik gang tattoo on his back, the names “Junjo” and “Lito” and several other images.

The victim’s body was found at past 9 a.m. when a passenger jeepney broke down near the excavation – which was around 1.2 meters deep – and one of the passengers saw the garbage bag, Pittong said.

The policeman said the passengers reported their find to barangay officials.

Pittong said the victim could have been killed Saturday night.
