Bike lanes in QC’s major roads eyed

MANILA, Philippines - A Quezon City councilor has proposed a measure that would urge the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority and the local department of public order and safety to designate bike lanes along the city’s major thoroughfares.

Third district Councilor Allan Benedict Reyes said that designating bicycle lanes would ensure the safety of bikers and decongest Quezon City streets.

“The city government aims to help in solving traffic congestion by offering alternative modes of transportation,” he said.
