Ramil Bajo, Rey Galupo - The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - A group of armed men, believed to be behind a series of robberies targeting branches of money remittance firm LBC, robbed an LBC outlet in Karuhatan, Valenzuela Sunday morning.

The three men, each riding a motorcycle, arrived at the LBC outlet at past 9 a.m. After posing as customers, they robbed the branch of P26,000 and took the employees’ cell phones, according to Police Officer 3 Ronaldo Sobosa.

The robbers herded the employees into the outlet’s restroom before leaving, he said.

Acting city police chief Senior Superintendent Rhoderick Armamento said the robbery was caught on surveillance footage.

According to police records, nearly 10 LBC branches all over the country were robbed since January.
