Teen caught driving stolen jeepney

MANILA, Philippines - A teenager was arrested over the weekend after he was caught driving a stolen jeepney in Novaliches, an official said yesterday.

JM Torribio, 18, was seen driving Donato de Guzman’s jeepney in Barangay Nagkaisang Nayon by a colleague of De Guzman, Marlon Consigo, said Quezon City Police District director Chief Superintendent Richard Albano.

Consigo sought the assistance of Senior Police Officer 1 Dante Surban and his team, who arrested Torribio.

Albano said the jeepney was stolen hours before Torribio’s arrest as the vehicle was parked unattended in Pag-asa Subdivision in Maysan, Valenzuela.
