28 hurt in bus crash

MANILA, Philippines - A bus rammed a concrete post of a Metro Rail Transit station and another bus in Quezon City, leaving 28 persons injured yesterday morning.

PO1 Leonardo Policarpio said those injured were passengers of CEM Trans Services bus (TYM-259) driven by Rex Paclar.

They were rushed to the East Avenue Medical Center by rescue teams of the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority.

The accident occurred at past 5 a.m. along the southbound lane of EDSA in Cubao.

The CEM bus crashed into a concrete post of the MRT before it rammed a Unicab bus (CHJ-920) driven by Edgardo Tembal.

Paclar told police the Unicab bus suddenly cut his path.
