Lovers’ quarrel ends in suicide

MANILA, Philippines - A 29-year-old woman hanged herself following a quarrel with her boyfriend in Caloocan City shortly after midnight yesterday.

Fatima Lindungan was discovered dead at past 12 a.m. by her friend in her rented room in North Diversion Road, police said.

The victim’s friend told police that she received a telephone call from Lindungan’s boyfriend Sharib Ibrahim Malakat, telling her that they had a misunderstanding.

She rushed to her friend’s place, but it was too late. She found Lindungan hanging with a belt tied around her neck.
