Fire hits Pasig building

MANILA, Philippines - A fire caused by faulty electrical wiring broke out at the second floor of a building in Pasig City yesterday.

No one was reported hurt or killed in the fire that started at the Philippine Vending Corp.’s building in Barangay Bagong Ilog at past 3 a.m. The blaze reached second alarm before it was put out more than an hour later.

Only the second floor of the building was destroyed by the fire, according to FO3 Carlito Bañez, who said initial investigation results showed that faulty wiring caused the fire. Property damage was estimated at around P2 million.
