2 boys arrested for raping cousin

MANILA, Philippines - Two 17-year-old boys were arrested Monday night for raping their 17-year-old female cousin in Caloocan City Monday night.

The girl, a high school student, was still in shock when her parents brought her to the city police women’s and children’s protection unit.

She told investigators that she was sleeping in her room when she felt a hand groping her. She was surprised when she saw her cousins.

The girl said they raped her and then threatened to kill her if she told her parents.

The girl said she told her parents about the attack.

The two boys admitted the crime and said they were under the influence of liquor when they raped their cousin.

The suspects were brought to the Department of Social Welfare and Development and are awaiting inquest proceedings.
