Man’s skeleton found in QC

Reinir Padua - The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - The skeletal remains of a man were discovered at a grassy vacant lot at a Quezon City subdivision Sunday night.

Police Officer 2 Jogene Hernandez said that they had yet to identify the remains, which were found by street children at past 9 p.m. Sunday at a lot in Neopolitan Subdivision in Barangay Greater Lagro.

The remains were clad in what looked like new  running shoes, a pair of jeans, a t-shirt that may have been blackened by blood stains, and a garrison belt similar to those worn by members of the police, Hernandez said.

He noted that though the subdivision is walled, it still has many entry points. The remains were first reported to the authorities of a nearby barangay before the discovery was reported to the village that has jurisdiction over the area.
