Man falls down escalator at NAIA

Rudy Santos - The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - A 63-year-old man was injured when he fell down an escalator at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 3 yesterday morning.

Philip Teng Kwan, a native of Cagayan de Oro City, had just arrived from Taipei and brought his luggage on the escalator to go to the terminal’s departure area on the third floor to take a cab, according to Dr. Emmanuel Abrigo.

Kwan suffered lacerations on his right hand and left leg when he lost his balance as he tried to get hold of his luggage, which slid down the escalator when its handle broke, Abrigo said.
