10 hurt as bus rams car in Quezon City

MANILA, Philippines - Ten persons were injured when a passenger bus crashed into a sedan yesterday morning in Cubao, Quezon City.

Police Officer 2 Henry Gerner Luna said the accident involved a bus of CEMTrans Service Inc. driven by Edwin Carcellar and a Mitsubishi Lancer driven by Alfred Rei Cabusora.

The mishap happened at around 9 a.m. on the southbound lane of EDSA in Cubao.

Luna said the bus lost control of its brakes as it reached the Aurora Tunnel and started swerving.

The bus hit the car, which rammed a center island as the bus hit a post of the Metro Rail Transit.

The impact injured both drivers and the passengers of the bus.
