MANILA, Philippines - A man was arrested after yielding shabu worth more than P5 million in a buy-bust operation in Parañaque Tuesday afternoon.

Oliver Sarreal, 23, of Bacoor, Cavite, sold 10 plastic sachets containing suspected shabu during the sting in Barangay San Isidro, PDEA director general Undersecretary Arturo Cacdac said.

Cacdac said the contraband weighed approximately one kilogram with an estimated market value of P5.2 million.

Aside from shabu, operatives of the PDEA Special Enforcement Service under Director Laurefel Gabales confiscated from Sarreal the P2,000 buy-bust money and a Toyota Fortuner.

The suspect is presently held at the PDEA detention facility in Quezon City.

A case for drug sale, which is punishable with life imprisonment and a fine ranging P500,000 to P10 million, is being prepared against him.
