Man loses SUV to ‘PDEA agents’
MANILA, Philippines - Armed men posing as Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency personnel carjacked a sport utility vehicle at its owner’s house in Cubao, Quezon City over the weekend.
Police said the white Ford Escape (TOR-614) was taken from Roey Frilles in Barangay Soccoro on Sunday.
Frilles told police he was about to enter the gate when two men who identified themselves as PDEA agents ordered him, at gunpoint, to yield the illegal drugs supposedly in his possession.
He said he sensed the men were not government agents. He managed to disarm one of the men, but the other one pistol-whipped him on the head, Frilles said.
One of the men took Frilles’ car keys and drove his Escape while his accomplice escaped on their getaway vehicle, police said.
