Mike Frialde - The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - An unexploded fragmentation hand grenade, supposedly used during World War II, was found in front of the Makati Police Substation 10 yesterday morning.

According to the Southern Police District (SPD), barangay watchman Arnold Elestrino called for police assistance after he found the grenade as he was walking along Maya street in Barangay Rizal at around 7 a.m.

A bomb disposal team was sent to recover the grenade, which was found without its safety lever and fuse. It was later turned over to the SPD’s explosives and ordnance division for proper disposition.
