Reinir Padua - The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - Around 60 families lost their homes to flames that razed a community in Quezon City yesterday morning.

City fire marshal Superintendent Samuel Tadeo said properties worth around P750,000  were destroyed during a fire in Barangay Greater Lagro in West Fairview.

The fire originated from the home of Hilda Aurelio as household members reported noticing smoke coming from the second floor of the house.

Tadeo said they have yet to determine what caused the fire at Aurelio’s house, which quickly spread to around 25 homes.

The fire was first reported just before 8 a.m. and reached fourth alarm before it was put out nearly an hour later.
