Bautista OKs release of mid-year bonus

MANILA, Philippines - Quezon City Mayor Herbert Bautista has approved the release of the mid-year bonus of over 5,000 city hall employees before the end of the month.

Bautista issued a memorandum directing the city budget, accounting and treasury departments to release the funds for the payment of the said bonus amounting to half of the employees’ basic monthly salary.

A cash gift amounting to P2,500 will also be provided for regular plantilla personnel who have rendered service from Jan. 1 to April 30.

Also set to receive mid-year bonuses are part-time employees, including medical specialists assigned at the Quezon City General Hospital and Novaliches District Hospital, who have rendered the four-month service requirement.
