MANILA, Philippines - A lawyer was arrested for allegedly beating a barker to death with a steel pipe in Sampaloc, Manila Sunday.
Joselito Macario, 51, went to the Ospital ng Sampaloc following the attack but died just before 7 p.m. while being treated.
According to a report by Police Officer 3 Lester Evangelista, Macario was with friends watching television at one of the houses along an alley off Extramadura street when the brother of lawyer Augusto Marte, 67, passed.
It was not clear whether an altercation took place, but the lawyer came and without any warning hit the victim on the head.
