Calixto beats three rivals in Pasay

MANILA, Philippines - Re-electionist Pasay City Mayor Antonino “Tony” Calixto of the Liberal Party won by a landslide over his three opponents in the mayoral race.

The city board of canvassers headed by Frances Rabe said Calixto garnered 119,177 votes as against Jorge del Rosario’s 28,951, Wenceslao “Peewee” Trinidad’s 22,028, and Romulo Marcelo’s 1,060 votes.

Calixto was proclaimed by the Commission on Elections Tuesday night.

The canvassed votes represent 98.92 percent of the total votes cast in the city’s two districts.
