PNP sets up wang-wang hotlines

The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - Persons with complaints about the misuse of police sirens or wang-wang can now report them to the Philippine National Police (PNP) through several hotlines.

In a letter sent to The STAR, PNP Police Community Relations Group (PCRG) director Chief Superintendent Sonny David said the PNP will not tolerate such infractions.

The letter is in response to reports that police escorts of private vehicles still occasionally use wang-wang.

David said violations can be reported to the “Isumbong Mo Kay Tsip” hotline 0917-8475757 as well as the PNP-PCRG’s Complaints and Referral Monitoring Center’s hotline numbers, 0917-7907214 and 0908-8218004, which could be accessed 24/7 for any police assistance requirement.
