Rudy Santos - The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - An overseas Filipino worker bound for Saudi Arabia found 20,000 yen in a package left under a chair at the lobby of the Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 1 yesterday morning.

Myrna dela Cruz, a physical therapist at one of Riyadh’s hospitals, found an envelope wrapped with packaging tape under a chair beside hers while she was waiting for her flight at past 9 a.m. She turned the package over to Lt. Edgar Ridad.

The package bore a message: “To Mommy and Daddy, from Aileen. I miss you.” It also contained a copy of a marriage contract of Narvel Rodriguez and Fretzie Belarmino, both from Cavite.

No one has claimed the money, which is at the airport’s lost and found office, Ridad said.
