Echiverri tops mayoral survey

The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - Caloocan City mayoralty candidate Rico Judge “RJ” Echiverri has strengthened his standing on Monday’s elections after he topped a recent survey conducted by a leading survey firm.

If the elections were held today, a survey by the Asia Research Organization Inc. (ARO) showed that Echiverri would win in at least 11 out of 16 zones in Caloocan.

Of the 1,200 registered voters surveyed, 54 percent said they would vote for Echiverri, while 43 percent chose District 1 Rep. Oscar “Oca” Malapitan of the United Nationalist Alliance while only two percent will vote for Macario “Boy” Asistio.

In the congressional race for District 1, Mayor Enrico “Recom” Echiverri was a clear winner garnering 60 percent while Dale “Along” Malapitan and Roberto Guazon got only 34 percent and five percent, respectively. The survey was conducted from April 29 to May 3.
