‘Bully’ killed by vendor

Reinir Padua - The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - Fed up from bullying, a fishball vendor stabbed and killed a teenager in Quezon City Friday night.

Jason Anuengco, 24, was arrested by police who found him with the help of a fellow vendor hiding in his cousin’s house in Barangay UP Village.

He was tagged in the killing of Danpaul Herrera, 19, in Barangay Damayan Lagi at past 10 p.m., said PO2 Marlon dela Vega.

The suspect admitted he was drunk when he stabbed Herrera to death, but said he was not sorry for what he did.

Anuengco told police he was playing billiards when the victim along with his four friends arrived and started heckling him. The suspect took his bladed weapon and stabbed the victim.

He added that Herrera and his friends had been getting the fishball he was selling without paying him.
