Beautician found dead in QC

MANILA, Philippines - A beautician was found gagged, bound and lifeless in his rented room in Barangay Lagro, Quezon City yesterday morning.

Angel Cruz, 34, may have been robbed since his wallet, cell phone and digital video disc player were missing, Senior Police Officer 1 Eric Lazo said.

Cruz was already dead when he was found at past 9 a.m. in his room by his landlady’s son. Lazo believes the victim was strangled to death since Cruz bore ligature marks on his neck.

Lazo said the victim was last seen alive at around 9 p.m. Friday in the company of a man whom he declined to identify at the moment.
