Residents beat up 2 rob suspects in Tondo

MANILA, Philippines - Two alleged robbers were beaten up by bystanders in Tondo, Manila Friday night.

According to a report, Martin Tanghal and Rudin Dineros, 22, allegedly boarded a jeepney at the corner of Perfecto and Tayuman streets at around 8 p.m. and robbed the passengers.

When they jumped from the vehicle, police officers from the Manila Police District Station 7 noticed the commotion and tried to accost them.

Tanghal, 23, shot at the police officers but missed. While the two suspects were trying to escape, residents who witnessed the incident chased them and beat them until police officers intervened.
