Armed men snatch motorbike, kill owner

MANILA, Philippines - Armed robbers killed a man and took his motorcycle in Barangay San Bartolome, Quezon City Friday afternoon.

A witness said two men blocked the path of Richard Cruz, 25, who was driving his motorcycle in Rockville 1 Subdivision at past 2 p.m., according to Police Officer 3 Erickson Isidro.

The witness said there was a loud roar from Cruz’s motorcycle, as if the victim was trying to flee. One of the two men shot Cruz in the back and continued to shoot him when he fell to the pavement, the witness said.

The two men then took Cruz’s motorcycle and fled, Isidro said.

Cruz died upon arrival at the Bernardino Hospital.
