DPWH to repair sections of EDSA

MANILA, Philippines - The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) yesterday said its personnel will repair 10 sections of EDSA and three national roads in Metro Manila over the weekend.

The work to repair the cracks and uneven surfaces began last night and will end at 6 a.m. on Monday.

In Pasay City, affected sections are the southbound lane from General Santos street to the footbridge after Capt. M. Reyes street and the northbound lane from E. Rodriguez to Estanislao streets.

In Mandaluyong City, EDSA’s northbound lane from Reliance to Libertad streets and the southbound lane from Boni Avenue to Mayon street will be under repair.

In Makati City, the DPWH will work on EDSA’s southbound lane from Guadalupe to Bernardino street and the northbound lane from Gil Puyat Avenue to Guadalupe street.

In Caloocan City, the DPWH will repair the damaged pavement on EDSA’s sixth southbound lane from Biglang Awa to Mariano streets and the sixth northbound lane near the center island in front of the Manila Central University Hospital to General Simon street.

The DPWH will also repair EDSA’s fourth northbound lane between North Avenue to Corregidor Road and EDSA’s fifth southbound lane from Oliveros street to Kaingin Road in Quezon City.

Mindanao Avenue’s second southbound lane, from Road 20 to Road 8; Quirino Highway’s second northbound lane from Mater Carmeli School to Sacred Heart Novitiate and third southbound lane from Regalado North Avenue to Belfast street; and three sections of North Avenue will also be under repair.
