Fire hits hardware store in Pasig

MANILA, Philippines - A fire destroyed a hardware store in Pasig City Wednesday night.

No one was injured or killed in the blaze at the Big Ortigas Hardware and Construction store along Ortigas Avenue in Barangay Sta. Lucia, according to city fire marshal Chief Inspector Roy Quisto.

The fire started at store’s stockroom at past 10 p.m. and quickly spread to adjacent offices, he said.

The fire reached first alarm before it was put out an hour later. The fire destroyed around P3 million worth of property.

Quisto said they are still trying to find out what caused the fire.
