BOC employee pokes gun at hearse driver

Non Alquitran - The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - A Bureau of Customs officer was arrested for allegedly poking a gun at a funeral car driver after their vehicles figured in a collision at a U-turn slot in Barangay Dela Paz, Pasig City Wednesday night.

John Octaviano, 50, denied poking his gun at Elvinson Sarsagat, 20, according to Senior Superintendent Mario Rariza Jr., city police chief.

Sarsagat was on his way to the St. Peter Funeral Homes branch in Antipolo City when his vehicle collided with Octaviano’s Mitsubishi Pajero.

Rariza said Octaviano’s gun is covered by proper permits, including a gun ban exemption from the Commission on Elections.

Police are readying appropriate charges against Octaviano, who is detained at the Pasig City police jail.
