5 nabbed for P.2-M soft drink theft

MANILA, Philippines - Five persons were arrested yesterday for allegedly stealing a vehicle loaded with P270,000 worth of soft drinks from a dealer based in Manila.

Macs Link Special Services driver Richard Udan and truck helper Edwin Duran confessed to stealing their employer’s car and selling the soft drinks to a fence in Pasay City, investigators said..

Police officers arrested businessman Delfin Hifarva and his helpers, Arjay Almadra and Samuel Angcon, after the missing soft drinks were found in his office, according to Manila Police District deputy director for operations Senior Superintendent Ronald Estilles.
