Revenge eyed in tanod’s slay

MANILA, Philippines - A 46-year-old man was stabbed dead by his neighbor allegedly over an old grudge in Sampaloc, Manila yesterday.

James Criyaldo, a former tanod of Barangay 418 Zone 43, District 4, was pronounced dead on arrival at the Ospital ng Maynila.

Police identified his assailant as Jojo Doria.

The suspect attacked the victim in front of his house at 8:30 a.m.

Senior Police Officer 1 Mario Asilo said Doria, who was stabbed by the victim in September 2012, retaliated since he did not file charges against Criyaldo.
