MANILA, Philippines - Two women were stabbed dead in Las Piñas City early yesterday following a reported argument with three unidentified men.
Aranza Mendez and her unidentified companion were last seen walking with three men along Canaynay Road at around 3 a.m. when an argument started, police said.
One of the men took out a knife and attacked the two women. Police said Mendez died on the spot while the other woman, who was stabbed in the chest, still managed to run away from the men before collapsing.
The woman was declared dead on arrival at the Las Piñas District Hospital.
Investigators said the attack could have been triggered by a drug deal gone sour.
