MANILA, Philippines - The Marikina City government will hold a mass wedding on Feb. 14 at the Marikina Hotel.
Mayor Del de Guzman said they are targeting 500 couples to participate in the “Kasalang Bayan†dubbed as “I Do, I Do, Araw ng Pag-Ibig.â€
The event is co-sponsored by the Pag-IBIG Fund, which will provide meals for the couples, symbolic rings and souvenir items.
The couples are also entitled to join a raffle contest with prizes like “kabuhayan†packages such as tricycles, sari-sari store and a house and lot from Pag-IBIG Fund.
Interested couples may register at the city’s civil registry and submit the following requirements: birth certificate, valid identifications cards and cedula.
