Rob gang leader charged
MANILA, Philippines - Charges were filed yesterday before the Valenzuela prosecutor's office against the leader of a robbery group targeting Indian traders.
Danny Rosario, alleged leader of the Danny Ilokano group, and his righthand man Michael Sison were charged with three cases of robbery.
Among the complainants were six college students who lost about P200,000 to the suspects.
However, the seven Indian traders they victimized refused to file charges.
Senior Superintendent Rhoderick Armamento, city police chief, said one the Indians went to the police station but declined to issue an affidavit.
Armamento told reporters that the Indian traders refused to file charges as some of them could be illegal aliens.
Aside from robbery cases, the two were also charged with illegal possession of firearms.
