MANILA, Philippines - A taxi driver was shot several times by unidentified men along Roxas Boulevard in Manila yesterday morning.

Tom Regalado, who works for OM 88 Transport, was rushed to an undisclosed hospital, Senior Police Officer 1 Gerry Rivera said.

Rivera said Regalado told them the men, who occupied one car, chased him after they thought he cut them off along Roxas Boulevard. One of the men shot at his vehicle several times. He suffered two gunshot wounds, police said.

Regalado’s taxi was abandoned at the corner of United Nations Avenue and M.H. del Pilar street in Ermita, Rivera said. Investigators are still trying to identify the men who attacked Regalado, he added.
