Teen stabbed dead by neighbor

MANILA, Philippines - An 18-year-old male died after a neighbor stabbed him in the chest in Barangay Payatas, Quezon City Saturday night.

Gilbert Duhaylungsod was buying a cigarette when his neighbor, identified only as “Totoy Wakwak,” reportedly attacked him before midnight, Senior Police Officer 1 Eric Lazo said.

Initial investigation results show the victim managed to run away but fell to the ground. His other neighbors rushed him to the Fairview General Hospital, where he was declared dead on arrival.

Police officers have yet to locate the suspect, who fled with the knife he reportedly used to kill Duhaylungsod.
