Manila to reroute traffic for New Year’s countdown

MANILA, Philippines - Vehicular traffic will be rerouted in Manila for the city’s New Year’s Eve countdown, the Manila District Traffic Enforcement Unit said in an advisory yesterday.

A segment of Ma. Orosa street, from T.M. Kalaw to P. Burgos street, will be closed from noon tomorrow to noon of Jan. 1, 2013.

Motorists who intend to use Ma. Orosa street’s northbound lane from T.M. Kalaw street or Mabini are advised to go straight along T.M. Kalaw, turn left on Taft Avenue and proceed to their destination.

Those who intend to go through Ma. Orosa street’s southbound lane coming from the Round Table are advised to turn right on P. Burgos street, turn left on Katigbak street and proceed to their destination.
