Teen beaten, shot dead in Tondo

MANILA, Philippines - An 18-year-old male was beaten and shot dead by three unidentified men as he was walking home in Tondo, Manila Wednesday morning.

Senior Police Officer 1 Ramir Dimagiba, in a report, identified the victim as Gilber Precia, a resident of Parola Compound.

Dimagiba said Precia was walking home at around 10:30 a.m. when three men – one of them identified as JR – approached him. The three men then beat him up before JR shot the victim twice while the two other men stood guard.

Neighbors rushed Precia to the Gat Andres Bonifacio Hospital, but he was declared dead on arrival.

Investigators said the motive for the attack has yet to be determined.
