MMDA: Avoid filmfest parade route

Mike Frialde - The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) is advising motorists to veer away from the portion of the Roxas Boulevard where the annual Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) “Parade of Stars” will take place at 2 p.m. today.

According to the MMDA, the parade of floats will start in front of the Quirino Grandstand, turn left at T.M. Kalaw and make a right turn to Roxas Boulevard. The parade will then make a right turn to Gil Puyat Avenue and take a left at Macapagal Avenue.

From Macapagal Avenue, the parade will take a right turn at the Seaside Boulevard, a left at Jose Diokno Boulevard, right at Harbor Drive and then to the grounds of the SM Mall of Asia.

Meanwhile, the MMDA also announced the lifting of the unified vehicular volume reduction program or the “number coding” scheme for the entire metropolis on Dec. 24, 25, 31 and Jan. 1, 2013 since those days are public holidays.
