Driver killed, 28 hurt in 2-bus smashup

MANILA, Philippines - A driver was killed while 28 persons were hurt in a head-on collision between two buses in Quezon City Sunday night.

Christopher Isidro, 35, a driver of a Joyselle bus (TXC-439), died following a collision with an RBM bus (TYS-439) along Regalado Avenue in Barangay North Fairview at past 6 p.m.

Police Officer 3 Ferdinand Paglinawan said RBM bus driver Diosdado Pascual Jr., 29, and 10 of his passengers were hurt.

Apart from them, 16 passengers of Joyselle bus and motorcycle driver Jerry Batalla, 34, were also injured. Batalla was driving his Rusi motorcycle (PN-3099) behind the Joyselle bus.
