Year of the Snake stamp release set

MANILA, Philippines - Postmaster General Josefina dela Cruz granted the request of the Filipinas Stamp Collectors Club (FSCC) to move the date of the Year of the Snake stamp’s release from Dec. 5 to a more auspicious date on Dec. 12, Philippine Postal Corp. (PHLPost) philatelic and postage department head Elenita San Diego said yesterday.

The PHLPost has prepared two designs: a stylized version featuring a close-up image of a snake, designed by Diane Hontomin, sold for P10 each; and a full shot of a snake, done by Jeanelyn Marquina, available for P30 each.
